6 Starch, dextrin and agar No blue or reddish-brown colour develops.

(A) Any gel formed occupies a maximum of 1.5 ml.
(B) Not more than 5.0 mL of 0.01 M of sodium hydroxide is required to change the colour of the indicator.
8 Tannins A gelatinous precipitate is formed, but neither the precipitate nor the liquid is dark blue.
9 Tragacanth Specified test.
10 Loss on drying Not more than 15.0%.
11 Total Ash Not more than 4.0%.

PACKAGING

MOLGUM™ ACA is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. It is preserved in tight containers.
